The Farnsworth Art Museum, in partnership with Bay Chamber Concerts, is pleased to present our second winter season of intimate Music at Noon lunchtime concerts. Each concert takes place on the second Wednesday of the month during January, February, March, and April.
Join us for a concert featuring the DaPonte String Quartet.
The DaPonte String Quartet is currently celebrating its 22st year in Maine. The ensemble was founded in Philadelphia and moved to Maine on a Rural Residency Grant established by the National Endowment for the Arts and Chamber Music America. They have performed in concert halls around the US, including Carnegie Hall; and in Europe and Canada. The mission of the DaPonte String Quartet is to connect audiences to composers by bringing to life the human context of each score’s creation.
The Quartet consists of Ferdinand Liva and Lydia Forbes, Violin; Kirsten Monke, Viola and Myles Jordan, Cello
