In this week-long workshop for middle school students (ages 11-14), we will work with both analog (non-digital such as pinhole cameras) and digital photographic processes and materials. We will experiment with making our own cameras, plastic film cameras, instant film as well as digital printing in the Gamble Center’s digital darkroom. The class is open to 6 participants. Digital cameras and computers will be available for student use.
Instructor Deanna Witman is an artist-educator with more than ten years of teaching in the arts who enjoys integrating various art media and the natural world into the classes she leads. She has an M.F.A. in Photography from Maine Media College.
