The Collective Presents: The End of the World After Party

It has been one year since the infamous debut of The Collective at the Bicknell Building and the group is ready to follow up its Launch Party with another great event. Come check out an abandoned, curiosity of a space and help The Collective celebrate its first year with cocktails, delightful nibbles and an artful atmosphere that will keep you intrigued while you dance the night away.
Annual Fall Family Festival
Join us for this free family event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and celebrate the season at the Farnsworth!

First Fridays at the Farnsworth is part of the Arts in Rockland First Fridays, during which all 21 member-galleries of Arts in Rockland stage an Arts Walk from 5 to 8 p.m. During First Fridays at the Farnsworth museum admission is free.

Leap of Faith
The Farnsworth Art Museum in alliance with the Lincoln Center Institute presents a free public performance of Leap of Faith, as part of the 2012 Lincoln Center Institute International Educator Workshops at the Farnsworth.

Public Book Signing with Jamie Wyeth

On Thursday, July 12 - Wyeth Day - Jamie Wyeth will be on hand to sign copies of the exhibition catalogue for Jamie Wyeth, Rockwell Kent and Monhegan. This is a special opportunity to meet Jamie Wyeth and leave with a personalized copy of this beautiful book which is available for sale at the Museum Store, both in the main museum and in The Wyeth Center.

Beginning at 2 p.m. the general public will be invited to join the event.

Opening Event for Stories of the Land and its People
An opening event for Stories of the Land and Its People will take place at The Strand Theatre on Friday, June 8, 5:30 to 6:20 p.m. in which families and the community are invited to all gather and celebrate the culmination of this year-long project. Children from a local school will perform a song written about their town and a film trailer giving an overview of the project will be screened as well. An opening reception will immediately follow the program at The Strand, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Julia’s Gallery on Elm Street, in the museum’s auditorium and hallway gallery, and a tent will be set up with food and refreshments.
  
Collective After Party for Rockland Shorts
Join us for an After Party for the International short film series Rockland Shorts at The Lincoln Street Center for the Arts and Education, at 24 Lincoln Street in Rockland, Maine. The party will take place from 9:30 p.m. to midnight.

This third and final Rockland Shorts After Party of the year will once again feature cocktails, savory treats, a happening artistic scene and dance tunes, provided on this occasion by DJ Mark Kelly. This will be an occasion to discuss the short films featured in the evening’s lineup at The Strand, and also to celebrate Lincoln Street Center’s many wonderful contributions to the artistic and educational community in the midcoast.
